Annual Estimated Resident Population broken down by age band, sex, and state/territory or sub-state geographic region. Source: ABS Catalogues 3218.0 (regional) and 3235.0 (population by age, sex, and region of usual residence). ASGS Edition 3 (2021). Defaults to total population (all ages, all sexes); pass age=/sex= to narrow to a specific cohort. Useful for headline cross-cohort queries ("women aged 25-29 in Greater Sydney", "school-age children in QLD", "elderly population in regional NSW").
