Annual Net Overseas Migration (NOM) broken down by visa subclass - arrivals, departures, and net flows by visa category. ABS cat 3412.0 Migration, Australia. Visa categories include: - Total - sum across all visa subclasses (the headline NOM figure) - Permanent visa: Skill / Family / Special Eligibility & humanitarian / Other - Temporary visa: Student / Skilled / Visitor / Working Holiday / Other / Total - New Zealand Citizen (subclass 444) - Australian Citizen (returnees / departures) Defaults to TOTAL visa, national, both arrivals AND departures (calendar year). Customers narrow to a specific visa category or region for deeper queries. **Net Overseas Migration is NOT a published series here.** The ABS publishes arrivals and departures separately in this dataflow; compute net = arrivals - departures yourself. For 2022 (calendar year), arrivals were 646,110 and departures were ~152k → net NOM ~494k. For the published 2022-23 fiscal-year NOM (~518k), see ABS Cat 3101.0 National Estimated Resident Population (uses the same NOM totals but on a fiscal-year grid).
